14th September 2023 – The Gulf Data Centre Association (GDCA), a trade organisation propelling the growth of the data centre industry across the GCC, today announced that RED, a global company of specialist building services and ICT engineers, has joined the association as a Platinum Sponsor and will be sponsoring the Touchdown Middle East 2023 conference as a Gold Sponsor.
The partnership brings together two organisations known for their commitment to excellence. RED is a market leader in data centre design and sustainability across 11 offices globally and has delivered over 1000 data centre projects worldwide. RED is also a firm advocate of empowering women in STEM, and its WiRED (Women in RED) internal women’s network aims to lead by example and inspire women within the industry to achieve career success. For example, Takwa Dawdi, Senior Electrical Engineering at RED, will be speaking at the GDCA Abu Dhabi event on the 14th September.

A member of the RED team will be participating as a speaker for Touchdown Middle East, with further details to be confirmed. Touchdown Middle East is the GCC region’s first annual conference for the data centre industry and will take place on the 21st and 22nd November 2023 in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Developed in partnership between the GDCA and Kickstart Europe, Touchdown Middle East will bring together data centre industry leaders, C-level executives, critical decision-makers, trailblazing operators, industry influencers and more from across the Middle East.
