stc group and NEOM’s Tonomus sign agreement for LEO satellite capacity in KSA
Tonomus, Neom’s digital infrastructure subsidiary, has signed a multi-year agreement with stc group. The agreement will give stc group access to LEO satellite capacity and enable the company to offer broadband internet and data services across the Kingdom. Read more…
KT, Hyundai E&C and stc group sign 50-year digital infrastructure partnership in KSA
The MoU will see the combination of KT’s digital transformation capabilities with Hyundai E&C’s smart construction and construction capabilities, along with stc group’s network infrastructure. Al Nowais and US private equity firm announce data centre focused MoU in Saudi
Al Nowais Group, which supplies high-technology solutions to the UAE and Saudi Arabian governments in a number of different sectors, and Aurum Equity Partners, a prominent US private equity firm, have announced a data-centre-focused MoU. The companies will jointly invest in an advanced 50MW next-generation data centre in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on innovation, sustainability and security. Read more…

Batelco launches Bwave, 400G of international high-speed capacity
Batelco has announced the launch of Bwave, a wavelength service of 400G capacity high-speed connectivity, quadrupling its current service proposition. Batelco collaborated with technology provider Ciena to elevate its solutions capabilities and provide faster connectivity and higher capacities to customers, which include wholesale providers, internet service providers, hyperscalers, enterprises, datacentre operators, enterprises and content providers. Jordan to open largest data centre, creating 300 jobs
The Aqaba Digital Hub is set to the largest data centre in Jordan by the end of 2023 – a cutting-edge data centre with a capacity of 6 megawatts. It embraces everything from a mega data centre and internet exchange point to cloud platforms and fiber networks, creating 300 direct and indirect job opportunities, and fostering economic growth and stability.
