Microsoft set to invest in AI company G42<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Microsoft is positioning itself at the centre of an AI boom following the launch of OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT, most recently announcing an investment of US$1.5Bn into AI company G42. In an effort to deepen relations between the US and UAE, this G42 investment will be leveraged as a launch pad to other regions, accelerating Microsoft\u2019s global expansion strategy. As part of the deal, G42, who are central to Abu Dhabi\u2019s AI ambitions and backed by Abu Dhabi sovereign investor Mubadala, will harness Microsoft\u2019s cloud computing platform, Azure. This investment is set to strengthen Abu Dhabi\u2019s position as a hub for AI, cementing its place as a credible technology partner and pushing them closer to a transitioned economy away from oil.
