How are you helping your members to successfully manage the region’s data centre regulations?
The first year of the association has been focused on getting to the grips with the region and listening to the challenges the industry is having. What’s clear is that multiple markets have strict regulations around data sovereignty and data laws in place which are making it a challenge for certain requirements and deals to make it across the line.
The GDCA is now actively working with a few of the Gulf state regulators to create workshops with the industry. The aim is to bring the sector together to develop regulations for data centre activities in the region that don’t impact or hinder existing or future business.
