Ooredoo and Iraq’s ITPC partner to land FIG subsea cable in Iraq

Qatari telco Ooredoo Group has entered a deal with Iraqi Telecommunications and Post Company (ITPC) to land the Fibre in Gulf (FIG) subsea cable in Iraq. The FIG subsea cable (announced last month) will connect the GCC countries and Iraq, providing 720Tbps of capacity across 24 fibre pairs.
