Grid Telecom and Dawiyat Integrated enter a partnership to build a Greece-Saudi subsea cable

Through this MoU, Grid Telecom and Dawiyat Integrated hope to build a cable connecting Greece (Crete), Saudi Arabia, and other major destinations across the Arabian Peninsula and Europe. Alongside, this partnership will also provide synergies for additional projects such as hyperscale-ready data centres. Wa’ed Ventures invests $15Mn in chip startup

The Middle East could benefit from Google’s $23Bn investment in WIZ … or not

Last week it was announced that Alphabet, Google’s parent company, were to invest $23Bn into cybersecurity startup Wiz, making it the company’s largest-ever VC-backed deal. Wiz specialises in cloud-based cybersecurity solutions, leveraging AI for real-time threat detection and response; and with cybersecurity becoming an ever-real threat in the Middle East, there is a growing focus on building stronger cybersecurity and tech ecosystems – in short, the capabilities of a company like Wiz have never been so sought after in the region.
