28 September 2023, Manama \u2013<\/strong> We are thrilled to announce today our achievements for our one-year anniversary!<\/p>\n

Since our foundation in September 2022, we have welcomed over 1,000 members to the association and have hosted 13 individual events and counting across the GCC throughout the year. The support from attendees at these events has been incredible and have truly propelled the growth of the association. The GDCA would also not be where it is today without its sponsors, so a massive thank you to stc<\/a><\/strong>, Charles Russell Speechlys<\/strong><\/a>, Vertiv<\/a><\/strong>, Sudlows Consulting<\/strong><\/a>, Duke McCaffery<\/a><\/strong>, PTS<\/a><\/strong>, DPI<\/a><\/strong>, RED<\/a><\/strong> and Johnson Controls<\/a> <\/strong>for their ongoing support.<\/p>\n

The launch of Touchdown Middle East<\/a> <\/strong>in partnership with Kickstart Europe<\/a> <\/strong>marked a huge milestone for the GDCA this year. As the GCC\u2019s first region-wide data centre industry conference, taking place 21st<\/sup>-22nd<\/sup>November 2023 in Bahrain, Touchdown Middle East reinforces the GDCA\u2019s foundational pillar of bringing the GCC data centre market together.<\/p>\n

Outside of our own events, we have taken part in numerous industry conferences to spread the word of the GCC\u2019s market potential, including Data Centre World 2023 in London and Data Cloud Global Congress 2023 in Monaco. Our Publications Library<\/a><\/strong> also opened its doors this year, featuring six market intelligence reports, and shelves for expert case studies and best practice whitepapers from the region. Our new blog series<\/a><\/strong> has gone live too, sharing insightful thought-leadership pieces every month on the topics and trends most affecting the data centre industry in the GCC.<\/p>\n

Here, we bring you a curated round-up of all the trending Middle Eastern data centre news from the week, including any news from our Sponsors, via email, LinkedIn<\/a> <\/strong>and on our website.<\/p>\n

The GDCA team has grown too, and in the past year we\u2019ve welcomed Neethu Surendran<\/a><\/strong> onboard as Head of Events & Membership, Layla Ali<\/a><\/strong> as our Marketing Assistant, Rohit Ramachandran<\/a><\/strong> as Finance & Administration Manager, Eleri Boyesen<\/a> <\/strong>as PR Manager and Imogen Weir<\/a> <\/strong>as Event Coordinator.<\/p>\n
