Ezditek breaks ground on 24 MW data centre<\/i><\/b><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Saudi Arabia\u2019s Ezditek has broken ground on its 24MW flagship data centre in Riyadh. The facility, RUH01, will be capable of reaching 90% of the Saudi population within 25 milliseconds and will host the Saudi Arabian Internet Exchange (SAIE), with speeds of 100Gbps+. The ground-breaking of this facility follows Ezditek\u2019s recently announced joint venture with Gcore, edge, AI, and cloud provider, which will see the two companies develop an \u2018AI factory\u2019 in the Kingdom for the building, training, and deployment of generative AI solutions\u2026Read more<\/a><\/p>\n

Saudi Arabia to potentially build a $13bn data centre project in NEOM<\/i><\/b><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Saudi Arabia is in negotiations to build a ‘massive’ data centre in NEOM’s Oxagon, a key part of the futuristic NEOM city project in the Tabuk Province. The proposed facility, with an estimated investment of just under $13 billion, is set to feature 1GW of capacity. The Kingdom is experiencing unprecedented growth in its digital infrastructure, with new investments and projects being announced regularly. IHS Towers has announced plans to sell its 70% stake in IHS Kuwait Limited to Zain Group for an estimated $134 million. The deal includes approximately 1,675 sites and an additional 700 sites managed by Zain Group in Kuwait. Serving over 47 million customers across 8 countries, Zain Group is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the MENA region. Zain Vice-Chairman and Group CEO, Bader Al Kharafi, stated that this agreement “will enhance Zain\u2019s digital infrastructure, support regional expansion, create capital efficiencies, and drive shareholder value.”\u2026Read more<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
